Han-Young Kang

Han Young is the CEO & President Of Sunwoo Entertainment, Korea's leading animation producer. As Asia's No. 1 animation studio, Sunwoo Entertainment has been working on a wide range of animation projects with the world's most illustrious broadcasters and producers including Walt Disney, Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Film Roman.

Han Young is currently the President of Korea Cartoon and Animation Federation, Executive of Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Fair (SICAF), Vice President of Korea Digital Contents Future Forum, and Committee member of China Animation Association.

Han Young previously held position of President of Korea Commercial Film Producers Association, President of Korea Animation Producers Association, Committee Member of Public Interest Commercial Committee in Korea Broadcasting Advertising Corporation, President of Korea Computer Graphics Society, Counsel of the 3rd International Culture Expert Convention at Seoul, and Committee Member of Policy Committee in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

 

Ami Dotan

Ami is the Managing Partner of Platinum Neurone Ventures (PNV). PNV has US$110 million under management and is headquartered in Tel-Aviv, Israel with offices in Singapore and Taiwan. Ami has over 26 years of extensive experience in developing communication systems and leading software and state-of-the-art technology entities. In 1997, Ami co-founded and became Managing Partner of Neurone I. Between 1980 and 1997, he held various senior positions at Rafael, the largest R&D center in Israel, including: Research Engineer, Project Manager, Department Manager, Plant Manager, Vice President of the Electronics Systems Division, and Corporate Vice President for Strategy. He also worked at Merrimac Industries Inc. in New Jersey, leading a satellite Communications project. Ami, through his different roles, has been successful in turning state-of-the-art technologies into products and successful business solutions. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and an MBA from Long Island University in New York.

 

Arthur Smith

In 2000, Arthur founded the international operations of GDH K.K., a Tokyo listed Japanese animation company (valued at more than $250m market cap). Since then Arthur has led all areas of the operation, including distributing GDH titles (TV, video, merchandising), procuring production investment, locating co-development and co-production opportunities and hiring and utilizing international creative talent. GDH International is now a well known and respected distributor around the world, collaborates closely with foreign companies in the areas of animation development and production and represents a substantial proportion of the overall value of GDH group. As well as GDH, Arthur acts as advisor to Go-N, a French animation company, and to an Indian venture company operating in the travel sector.

Prior to joining GDH, Arthur worked for four years at McKinsey, the world's leading strategy company, focusing on the media, high technology and industrial sectors as well as on finance projects. Prior to that, Arthur worked on business strategy and corporate acquisitions for three years at REXAM, a global industrial company, and for another three years at accounting giant PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Arthur holds a BSc in mathematics, an ACA (UK accounting qualification) and an MBA (Dean's List) from INSEAD (France).
